The Roots Music Association Hosts Annual Roots Music Awards 2008

The Annual Roots Music Awards will feature more than 100 showcases featuring some of the best artists from around the globe. The event, which has been branded as Music United '08, will be presenting three days of music on five stages with artists encompassing almost every genre within the music industry. In addition, the conference portion of the event will host educational opportunities through panels of professionals, in continuing education, at all levels of expertise.

"We'll have someone and/or something for everyone, from the novice just wanting to join in the music industry, to long time industry pioneers, music producers, professionals, engineers, and freelance artists, in this dynamic business," so says Robert Bartosh of RMA. "From guitar picks to light and sound equipment there will be displays and opportunities to find the latest in professional equipment for the music professional!" The event will be open to the public!

Awards will be presented to radio stations, artists and industry professionals in recognition of their accomplishments and contributions to the music industry over the past year. The event will be open to the public and in addition to three days of dynamic entertainment there will also be exhibits by educational and technological entities that will present information and services essential to the development and support of the independent artists.

This year the Roots Music Awards will be held in San Antonio, Texas June 27 - 29th at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium.
