Zildjian Introduces Limited Edition 375th Anniversary Cymbal

March 11, 1998 -- In celebration of its 375th Anniversary, the Avedis Zildjian Company has announced the introduction of a limited edition commemorative 375th Anniversary Cymbal.

This cymbal will be a 16" Medium Thin Crash from their A Zildjian range with their 375th Anniversary logo both specially engraved in the cymbal and also as an ink logo. This Cymbal will be a limited edition model with a total production run for worldwide consumption of only 1,623 pieces, commemorating 1623, the year the Company was established. Each one will be serialized with the serial number engraved beneath the Anniversary engraved logo.

"The limited edition Anniversary Cymbal is part of many special events and promotions' that Zildjian will be conducting in 1998 in celebration of its 375th Anniversary," said Zildjian's Vice President of Marketing Colin Schofield.

"The 16" A Zildjian Medium Thin Crash was chosen because it is a 'classic' Zildjian Crash cymbal and certainly one of the most popular cymbals in the world," he continued.
