Zildjian Introduces Super Cymbal Carrying Bag

March 11, 1998 -- The Avedis Zildjian Company, the world's leading manufacturer of cymbals, announces the introduction of the Super Cymbal Carrying Bag. The high quality bag, according to Zildjian, is now the ultimate cymbal carrying bag on the market.

The bag carries cymbals up to 24" in diameter in the main compartment and cymbals up to 16" in the centered side "HiHat'" cymbal pocket. The main compartment also features three fabric dividers to keep cymbals organized and separated. On the other side of the bag there is a large gusseted drumstick bag pocket that accommodates drumstick bags or other items the user may want to carry such as sheet music or accessories.

The bag also features an oversized padded shoulder strap that is mounted wide and offset on the bag for maximum carrying comfort. There are also two top carrying handles that also feature a padded Velcro closure piece.

The overall construction of the bag is designed for durability with many areas of double sewing and heavy-duty hardware. The padding is thick to ensure maximum protection of the cymbals. The bottom of the bag features three tough skid plates to protect the bag. A large gold Zildjian logo is silk screened on each side of the bag.

"We received design input on this bag from traveling drummers. We really targeted making a bag that could handle the rigors of the road. We also selected features that were truly useful and not just cosmetic," said Product Manager John Sorenson.
