DOD Acoustic 1

July 18, 1996 -- Catering to the popularity of the recent "Unplugged" movement, DOD introduces its new Acoustic 1 multi-effects processor tailored specifically for the acoustic instrumentalist.

Based on the design and ease of operation of the DOD FX7, the Acoustic 1 incorporates features and effects specially designed to complement acoustic instruments. Included are a more responsive analog compressor section, flexible three-band EQ with boost/cut capabilities, analog notch filter with frequency control and noise gate. The Acoustic l's digital effects section includes chorus, flange, phase, tremolo, detune, 12-string emulation, mono/tap delay and reverb.

A chromatic tuner with three references can be accessed in program bypass mode, and the unit's expression pedal input can be used with most passive volume pedals for master level control. Equipped with 30 factory and 30 user-defined presets, the Acoustic 1 offers a "Jam-Along'' input to play along with CDs or cassettes, as well as a standard headphone output. Manufacturer's suggested list price on the processor is $299.95.
