DOD Bass Chorus and Stereo Flanger Pedals
July 12, 1996 -- Once again, DOD Electronics continues to expand its FX Series of stompboxes with the addition of the FX63 Deep Freeze and FX747 Supersonic Stereo Flange modulation effects pedals. The FX63 Deep Freeze is a stereo bass chorus deep enough to effectively modulate the lowest notes of a bass guitar, yet sharp enough to add definition to the bottom end. "Chill" controls the amount of chorus, "Cold" controls the speed, "Deep" controls depth and "Defrost" is for the high-end EQ of the chorus signal. DOD's FX747 Supersonic Stereo Flange features an extended-range LFO to allow guitarists to flange slower than ever before with no sacrifice in sound quality. Effect amount is controlled with the "Payload" potentiometer, while "Mach" varies the speed of the LFO. "Altitude" adjusts the depth of the flange, and "Thrust" controls the amount of regeneration. Like the FX63 Deep Freeze, the FX747 sounds great in mono and amazing in stereo. Suggested retail pricing on the DOD FX63 Deep Freeze is $129.95, while the FX747 Supersonic Stereo Flange is listed at $119.95. For more information, visit their web site at www.dod.com.
