E-mu ESI-32 Turbo Option

July 11, 1997 -- E-mu Systems, Inc. announces the release of the ESI-32 Turbo Option Kit. Following E-mu's principle of encouraging customers to build on their previous investment, this option kit will take current ESI-32 owners to a new world of possibilities. Easily installable, this upgrade kit contains new software and hardware enhancements, featuring 6 more outputs, 17 new filters, new DSP functions, 24-bit dual stereo effects processors, and much more.

  • 3 Tip-Ring-Sleeve 1/4" outputs (for a total of 8 individual sub outs plus a stereo effects mix output)
  • S/PDIF digital in & out
  • Two 24-bit stereo effects processors
  • ESI 3.0 software with the following:
  • 17 new 6-pole filters (from the Orbit) including: Hi-pass, low-pass, band-pass, flanging, phasing, and vocal Audio Exciter (new DSP tool) Stereo phase locked time compression
  • Windows 95 hard drive safety features Ability to do more than 2 way velocity cross switching Support for larger hard drives (up to 4 GB)
