Roland S-MPU-IIAT Intelligent MIDI Interface

July 11, 1997 -- In an effort to better meet the needs of sophisticated desktop MIDI musicians, Roland is premiering the S-MPU-IIAT Intelligent MIDI Interface. The S-MPU-IIAT is a PC MIDI interface consisting of an ISA-size card, software drivers and a MIDI connector box. It is fully compatible with Windows® 95/Plug & Play configurations, allowing for enhanced PC-based MIDI sequencing.

The S-MPU-IIAT's two independent MIDI ports (2 MIDI In's, 2 MIDI Out's) permit simultaneous control of multiple MIDI instruments. This power can be expanded to up to 64 channels of MIDI control using two S-MPU-IIAT units.

MIDI Time Code (MTC) is provided for precise syncing with recorders like the Roland VS-880 Digital Studio Workstation or other multitracks/tape recorders with MTC support. The competitively priced S-MPUII-AT also includes seven Super MPU-native compatible applications: SMPUTPLAY for Windows, VU Meters, SMPUMIXER for Windows, S-MPU MIDI Patcher, MIDI Program Changer, MIDI Keyboard and Hyper Tone Viewer.
