Audio-Technica Introduces 7000 Series Multi-Channel UHF Wireless SystemsThe 7000 Series UHF Wireless Systems offer 700 MHz operating frequency band, a choice of 100 PLL-synthesized channels and InvisibleLink® circuitry for safe, interference-free performance with true diversity operation.
July 10, 1998 -- Audio-Technica announces the new 7000 Series Multi-channel UHF Wireless Microphone Systems. The 7000 Series is designed for a wide range of applications, including: live performance, places of worship, lecture circuit, public address and aerobic instruction. Featuring A-T's proprietary InvisibleLink® circuitry, the systems offer UHF wireless technology with up to 100 switch-selectable PLL-synthesized channels. The 7000 Series offers two primary system options: body-pack and handheld. The ATW-7375 UniPak(TM) Transmitter System consists of the ATW-R73 true diversity receiver and ATW-T75 body-pack transmitter. The body-pack includes a high impedance input that provides optimum load when used with electric guitars. A wide selection of Wireless Essentials(TM) mics and cables are available for the ATW-7375 UniPak(TM) System including lavalier, headworn, gooseneck and installed-sound microphones. Additionally available is the ATW-7376 handheld dynamic microphone/transmitter system (which also includes the ATW-R73 receiver). The ATW-T76 microphone features an Audio-Technica Hi-ENERGY® dynamic element with exceptional internal shock mounting. The ATW-R73 receiver features an all-metal housing for superior shielding as well as dual independent receiver sections. Its "true diversity" operation selects the superior signal from the two independent receiver sections, thus reducing dropouts and minimizing multipath distortion. The receiver is half-rack size which permits side-by-side mounting of two units in a single 19" rack space. Balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (1/4") audio output jacks, a ground-lift switch for the XLR output, adjustable volume and squelch controls and RF/AF/A-B front panel indicators are also provided. The ATW-D70 UHF Active Unity-gain Antenna Distribution System is available for use with the ATW-R73. This antenna distribution system connects a pair of antennas to as many as four diversity receivers. The ATW-D70 is for use with UHF systems in the 728 to 750 MHz range. Prices for the 7000 Series Systems are as follows: ATW-7375 UniPak(TM) System: $975.00; ATW-7376 Handheld Transmitter System: $995.00.
