The John Henry(TM) Unveiled in Nashville

July 10, 1998 -- Charles Lindert, President of Lindert Guitars, announced that the new Loco-Motive TM model "The John Henry(TM)" will be unveiled in Nashville July 10, 11 & 12 at the Summer NAMM Show. This new model is the 10th design in the Loco-Motive TM Series.

The "John Henry(TM)" utilizes elements of art from the metal bodied guitars made popular in blues and folk music combined with the construction methods and tonal qualities of the Lindert guitars. The John Henry(TM) name was chosen because of the legend of the "steel driving man" and his valiant attempt to outrun the "machine".

This legend and song have meaning to nearly everyone and it seemed appropriate for this blues oriented addition to the Locomotive TM line. Featuring an upper routed F-hole and radial grille pattern, the John Henry(TM) is already gaining attention as a "classy axe".
