July 10, 1998 -- Mackie Designs announces the newest member of the FR Series Power Amplifiers: the M-2600. An incredible 2600 watts of pure, peak power, supported by one of the professional audio industry's only 5 year transferable warranties.

Mackie continues to strengthen their position of value, simplicity and reliability by combining the talents of a veteran amp engineering team with a state-of-the-art manufacturing process to produce a high quality power amplifier for a remarkably low price. With the M-2600, as with its predecessor, the M-1400i, Mackie tackled the key design problems inherent in power amplifier design-distortion and cooling-and came up with innovative solutions.

"The M-2600 provides more power output, more features, and more solid reliability than comparably-priced, stripped down models offering far less. We've simply done what Mackie does best: we've combined solid, innovative design and eye-popping specs with economical manufacturing to deliver a product that performs to the highest standards without breaking the bank," stated Rick Bos, Mackie's Product Manager for Analogue Products.
