Sabine's top-of-the-line ADF-4000 gets better ... and the price stays the same.

Software and firmware upgrades make the POWER-Q the Ultimate Audio Toolbox.

July 10, 1998 -- In the wake of their phenomenal success with the POWER-Q ADF-4000, introduced a year ago, Sabine announces the introduction of the most advanced firmware release to date, Version 2.4. The new firmware is included in all POWER-Q and POWER-Q Slaves.

The POWER-Q combines the functions of nine separate products into one easy-to-use 2U package. The 24-bit, two-channel POWER-Q contains parametric EQ (up to 12 band per channel, with lo and hi pass filters), Dual 31-band graphic EQs with adjustable filter widths, full-featured real-time analyzer, compressor/limiter, digital delay, downward expander, noise gate and 24 patented FBX Feedback Exterminator Filters (12 per channel). All functions operate concurrently.

In addition, Sabine introduces POWER-Q Remote Control Software v2.03, another quantum leap in software development. This new software is included in all POWER-Q equipped with the optional serial port, and all POWER- Q slaves.

The impressive scope of improvements in the new software and firmware are a major step forward in processing power and ease of use.

More Automatic Features and Enhancements

Faster Automatic Room EQ ... plus our new Environmental Artifact Removal (EAR).
The new Auto Room EQ function takes just seconds, plus there's a new added feature unique to the POWER-Q. The POWER-Q Environmental Artifact Removal function analyzes the frequency content of constant ambient room noise artifacts, and ignores this in its measurement and calculations of system EQ. So you won't be rolling off the low frequency in your sound system because the room air conditioner is rumbling!

Automatic High-end Roll-off Compensation. Because high frequencies do not propagate as well as low frequencies, many sound systems are "over-EQ'd" on the high end. Now you can let the new POWER-Q solve this problem simply and automatically. During Auto Room EQ, the POWER-Q automatically calculates the proper high-end rolloff. As in all the automated POWER-Q functions, the choice to use it is yours at the touch of a button..

Automatic Speaker Delay Alignment. Now you can quickly and accurately improve speaker clarity by using the POWER-Q's new automatic speaker synchronization feature. The POWER-Q automatically measures the distance between the speakers and your reference microphone and synchronizes the speaker delays in just a few seconds. You can also manually adjust the delays with 20 microsecond resolution.

Automatic Turbo FBX Setup-Fast and Quiet. No more "turn it up and wince!" The POWER-Q now finds feedback at a very quiet volume by inserting a limiter as it automatically sets the FBX feedback control filters. It even tells you the additional gain you've achieved. Quick and quiet feedback extermination: the best thing for your ears since Mike Tyson was banned from boxing!

Additional features include Expanded User Memory - 99 user presets instead of 19. You can save a variety of configurations, all user defined. Filter Reset Options allow users to choose from a checklist of various filter options and reset with one keystroke, instead of resetting different types of filters a bank at a time.

The new Bypass Options allow easy and instant comparison of before/after EQ settings for Room and/or Program EQ, or the entire POWER-Q signal processing. Switch functions in and out from the same window with a single command. The POWER-Q also allows Multi-unit operation. You can operate up to 8 units controlled by a single computer with the new remote control software. Slave and full-front panel units (with serial connections) can be controlled in the same serial chain.

The new POWER-Q has an improved user interface. Keyboard shortcuts & intuitive controls make Sabine Remote software more user friendly in addition to Multi-format compatibility. Version 2.03 remote control software is fully compatible with Windows 3.1 and higher versions around the world, including Asian Windows versions.

These new features and functions greatly increase the value and power of the POWER-Q. No other DSP product gives you the choice of so many totally automated functions, as well as complete manual control of every facet of your signal processing. Find out why artists as diverse as Ozzy Osborne and The Spice Girls have tried and love the POWER-Q the ultimate audio toolbox.
