Pawar Guitars, Ltd. Debuts the Turn of the CenturyTM
July 31, 1999 -- The Turn of the CenturyTM is a hand made electric guitar that features the Pawar Positive Tone SystemTM (P.T.S.). PawarTM (rhymes with guitar) Guitars advertises that the system provides guitar players with "All of your favorite tones in one guitar." Vice President of Research and Development Jay Pawar says "Our goal was to design a guitar that has GREAT examples of classic humbucking tones and classic single coil tones in a system that would be very easy to operate." The Pawar P.T.S. features Seymour Duncan pickups. The Turn of the Century is hand crafted in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. The Turn of the Century Prestige (pictured) features a light weight swamp ash back, a hand carved highly figured Maple top, a birdseye maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard. Pawar Guitars will be introducing three versions of the guitar, the Turn of the Century Player, Stage and Prestige with a MSRP of $2,500, $3,000, and $3,500 respectively. Pawar Guitars does not sell direct to the public. FIVE YEAR exclusive retail territories are being offered to qualified retailers on a first come first served basis.
