Fender® Adds 30 Watt Amplifier to Acoustasonic™ Line

February 3, 2000 -- Fender welcomes the newest member to its Acoustasonic line of amplifiers this year with the introduction of the new Acoustasonic 30. With the Acoustasonic Pro, the Acoustasonic Junior and the award-winning Acoustasonic SFX, Fender's Acoustasonic 30 will join the family that is unlike any other "acoustic" amplifier line, in that all four are true acoustic amps and not modified PA's.

The new Acoustasonic 30 offers acoustic musicians of every kind the use of amplification. Guitars, violins, mandolins, and voice are all evenly reproduced with exceptional purity, and with its patented String Dynamics™ control, the Acoustasonic 30 dynamically suppresses the unwanted high frequency distortions commonly found with all piezo-electric pickups.

To be produced at Fender's own manufacturing facility in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, this new offering is a 30 Watt solid-state acoustic amplifier with a single 8", 8 Ohm Foster Culver Acoustic driver and piezo horn. There are two channels featured on the Acoustasonic 30: one with a 1/4" input for instruments, and the other with an XLR input for microphones.

The Acoustasonic 30 comes equipped with an on-board Chorus effect for channel 1, which has its own modulation and rate controls. The on-board Spring Reverb effect can be assigned to either of the two channels, or can be used on both simultaneously.
