The EDM-1 Speed Cable is made from the highest-grade cable available. The combination of materials used makes the Speed Cable flexible yet strong while simultaneously providing an enhanced frequency response range with balanced attack and sustain. It's flat response and non-peak tonal character allows the Speed Cable to reproduce any instrument's signal more accurately than a standard cable can.

The Speed Cable also features the unique "volume plug" - a 114" instrument plug with a high performance volume slider built into its sleeve. The volume plug allows the output level of the instrument to be controlled at the source. At zero position the volume plug is self-shorting, allowing the cable to be silently removed from the instrument jack. Both 1/4" plugs on the Speed Cable are gold-plated and are fastened to the cable via hex screws to avoid short circuits and the additional noise and signal degradation associated with loose plugs.
