Parker Guitars Goes SoloFebruary 3, 2000 -- Five years ago, Korg USA invested in a new guitar line, Parker Guitars. While starting small, the Parker line of guitars quickly grew into a full range of products. As of February 1, 2000, Korg USA will hand off the distribution of Parker Guitars to the Parker Guitar factory in Wilmington, MA. Company founders Ken Parker and Larry Fishman, along with CEO Drew Hannah, comprise a strong product development and management group. The sales and marketing team is now being assembled and will be in place for a seamless transition. The Parker line includes the Parker Fly and NiteFly, both solid-body electrics equipped with custom Fishman piezoelectric and DiMarzio magnetic pickups. The company offers two solid-body acoustic guitars, the steel-stringed Fly Concert and the nylon-stringed Spanish Fly. The company recently introduced the MidiFly.
