Euphonix Plans to RocketPower Future

February 7, 2000 -- Rocket Network, the first and only network of Internet Recording Studios where audio professionals can meet online, collaborate and produce original audio from anywhere in the world — today announced planned support for the "RocketPower" API from Euphonix Inc., manufacturer of high performance audio products. Future software releases for Euphonix high-end multi-track recorders and digital audio consoles will be developed with support for the "RocketPower" API and Rocket Network Internet Recording Studios.

Euphonix joins Steinberg, Emagic, and GVOX in the list of leading developers who are supporting RocketPower in their audio software products.

"Rocket Network’s technology provides a new opportunity for our high-end customers to expand their services beyond the walls of their studios," said Scott Silfvast, Euphonix Founder and Chief Product Officer. "Euphonix-equipped studios will soon be connected to the Internet for a variety of services including on-line collaboration with studios around the world via Rocket’s Internet Recording Studios."

Future "RocketPower" products from Euphonix will allow collaboration and project movement between high-end and low-end studios and across different software and hardware platforms. Traditionally, movement of projects between brick and mortar studios has been limited by a high degree of platform incompatibility between various tape and digital audio formats.

"We’re pleased to welcome Euphonix to the RocketPower Developer Program. Their high-end products will help to address an entirely new category of online audio applications," said Pam Miller, Rocket Network President and CEO.

Willy Henshall, Rocket Network Chairman and Founder added, "Euphonix’s experience with high-end audio professionals speaks for itself. We’re extremely excited about bringing our technologies together."

Rocket Network CEO Pam Miller sits on the board of Harmony Central's parent company, HarmonyCentral.com. Rocket and Harmony Central also have both received funding from Vulcan Northwest, Inc.
