Rocket Batt-Man Power Supply and Battery Emulator
January 16, 1997 -- The latest new brand to hit the Music Industry, Rocket Vintage Guitar Equipment, has just introduced the first of a long line of products . . the "Batt-Man" !! Not to be confused with the comic book hero, Batt-Man is short for Battery Manager, which provides a unique solution to the 'AC Adapter Dilemma' innumerable musicians that own pedal boards or stomp boxes suffer through. In actuality, the Rocket Batt-Man accomplishes several tasks: (1) it provides the stomp box user the ability to eliminate the AC adapter, or 'wall wart' without inheriting the hum or around looping associated with most adapters, and (2) it can actually emulate the audio characteristics of a 9 volt battery of either zinc carbon or alkaline types and (3) supplies a universal cable that supports over 95% of all stomp boxes, eliminating the 'rats nest' of wires. It is widely known that as a 9 volt battery wears down, it creates desirable affectations to the stomp box characteristics, and until now, this has never been able to be achieved! The Batt-Man 4 provides two low-noise fixed battery emulation outputs, and two variable outputs, and is complete with the universal cable. The other two models available provide fixed battery emulation outputs only for either two (Batt-Man 2) or single output (Batt-Man) and both are complete with universal cables. The Batt-Man 4 is ideal for pedal board users, and guarantees elimination of hum or ground looping. The extremely compact unit (5"x4"x 1") has a suggested retail of $139.95 which is remarkable, in light of the fact that four AC adapters could cost $120.00!!
