Rocket Reissues 70's Seamoon Classic Stomp Boxes

January 16, 1997 -- Rocket Amps, the new brand of Vintage Guitar Equipment introduced by ADA Amplifier Systems at NAMM, has added two important additions to the Stomp Box line-up. The famous Seamoon "Funk Machine" and "Fresh Fuzz" have been carefully given new life, as well as some Rocket innovation. The Rocket Fresh Fuzz is a reissue of the faithful early 70's roaring distortion stomp box originally produced by Seamoon Electronics of Berkeley, CA. Distortion from clean to mean is derived using both the 'Bite' and guitar volume controls producing a wide range of dynamics. At its maximum Bite, there is enhanced bottom end and no loss of highs, a tone that set itself apart from the buzzy fuzzy stomp boxes of that era. Rocket has engineered into the design of the Fresh Fuzz, the use of Rocket's True Bypass, allowing the guitar signal to completely be disconnected when the unit is in bypass mode. When used in conjunction with the Rocket Batt-Man, further dramatic effects may be created.

The Rocket Funk Machine is another Seamoon original design providing a triggered WAH for bass guitar. This effect was used by the Masters of Funk, a genre of musicians that included everyone from Bootsy to Sly and the Family Stone. The 'magic thumbs' of these bassists triggered blurps and WAHS with fat, thunderous lows which was the backbone of the Funk era. The Funk Machine is designed for today's players desirous of that driving attitude prevalent during this era. The wide-range bottom control can extend below even today's 6-string basses. Inherently subtle but particularly desirable, the Rocket Funk Machine's slightly raw distortion gives this unit a unique, dynamic quality that sets it apart from any currently available. As with the Fresh Fuzz, the use of the Rocket Batt-Man with the Funk Machine will further enhance the overall effect in conjunction with the battery emulator technology engineered into the Batt-Man.
