Yamaha DG1000 Digital Guitar Preamp
January 16, 1997 -- Stage and studio performers are oftentimes playing in situations where they need the ability to change between a multitude of landmark guitar sounds without having to transport multiple amplifiers. Responding to this need, Yamaha Corporation of America is launching the DG1000 Digital Guitar Pre-Amp at the NAMM Show. The DG1000 Digital Guitar Pre-Amp features 8 separate simulated tube gain stages, providing the fat, warm sounds of analog with the versatility and flexibility of digital. 128 user programmable memory locations allow guitarists to tailor their settings. With motorized knobs for instant recall and a user friendly analog amplifier layout, the DG1000 is incredibly easy to use and incredibly usable. "Guitarists know the advantages of using a pre-amp with program change capabilities," said Jay Piccirillo, Product Specialist, Guitar Department, Yamaha Corporation of America. "The DG1000 will give players the great vintage sounds they are looking for, in a format that is familiar to them."
