E-mu Sound Central Announces ModuleMania

E-mu SoundFont library continues to expand

January 29, 1998 -- E-mu Sound Central (ESC), a division of E-mu Systems, Inc. announces the release of ModulaMania, the newest addition to E-mu's expanding SoundFont® library. This 5 CD-ROM ModuleMania Series has been developed from the Proteus® 1,2,3, Vintage Keys, and Planet Phatt(TM) modules, and features the hottest 128 Presets from each of these best-selling products. These Module presets are encoded as SoundFont banks and come complete with all new SoundFont Librarian software. SoundFont banks are the proprietary data format used by the industry-standard SoundBlaster(TM) series of PC sound cards from Creative Labs, Inc. These 5 CD-ROMS will also offer sound support for the upcoming E-mu Audio Production Studio Series, E-mu's latest addition to their desktop music line of products, and will in effect be the equivalent of having 5 "virtual" modules on a PC.

"With the ModuleMania series we created the concept of having a virtual E-mu® studio rack inside your PC," says Mike Barnes, E-mu Sound Central Product Manager. "Now you can load in the best of the whole Proteus line, Vintage Keys, and Planet Phatt modules directly into your Sound Card for an amazing price of only $99. We want this to be an essential purchase for any PC sound card customer that can take advantage of the SoundFont library."
