January 29, 1998 -- Meinl's Free Ride Suspension System is the first innovative concept in bongo designs in years. Stress free connection of bongo shells without drilling and interior hardware combined with Resonance-Shaping offer superior sound quality over traditional bongo designs. Equipped with True Skin heads and heavy duty Cuban-style hardware the new bongos are available in a wide variety of colours including Vintage Sunburst, Raspberry Sunburst and African Brown. Configurations include FWB 400 - 81/2" Hembra/7" Macho or FWB 500 - 9" Hembra/7" Macho.

Suggested retail prices : FWB 400 $229; FWB 500 $249 (all prices in US $).
