Meinl Introduces Realplayer Steelbells
January 29, 1998 -- The Meinl Percussion program has been expanded to include four more professional level instruments - the new Realplayer Steelbells. These cowbells are available in a natural steel finish which is thinnly lacquered to prevent discoloration and corrosion. Each bell has fully welded seams and is equipped with an sturdy mounting bracket which accepts L-arms up to 10 mm in diameter. Small muffling pads are included as tone controls and can easily be removed to increase sustain and volume. Sizes currently available are in 8" large mouth, 8" small mouth, 6,25" medium mouth and a small 4,5" small mouth. The Steelbells are Meinl's first offering using a new metal forming process which results in professional level instruments utilizable in virtually any musical setting Suggested retail price: STB45 $42; STB625 $49; STB80B $58; STB80S $58 (all prices in US $).
