Paiste Extends Range of Crotales
January 29, 1998 -- In another step to provide percussionists with the ultimate in sound, Paiste has added the notes C6 through E6 to their set of crotales, making a full 2 1/2 octaves available, from C6 - F8.
These instruments are electronically tuned to 442Hz, or any custom frequency for special orders. Crotales are the traditional Cymbales Antiques made from CuSn20 bronze. Only Paiste offers chromatic octave stands in one octave (C7-C8) and two octaves, F6-F8 or C6-C8. A unique damper system is also offered as an option on the two octave stands.
