Sabian Introduces David Garibaldi Jam Master Signature Cymbals

January 29, 1998 -- SABAN is pleased to introduce two new, highly versatile cymbals to its elite Signature Series. The David Garibaldi Jam Master 22" Ride and Jam Master 18" Crash Ride are the result of a collaboration which saw the great San Franciso-based drummer working side-by-side with SABIAN's hand hammering craftsmen in Canada, creating sounds he describes as 'a mix of musical stick definition with the subtle hiss of a warm, complementary tone."

Featuring a large bell and a high profile bow area, the heavily hand hammered Jam Master Ride, at 22", is capable of projecting fat and funky stick definition balanced with a controllable degree of connective tonal spread at at volumes. This balance makes it suitable for styles ranging from funk and fusion to latin, pop/rock, blues and jazz. Thinner and smaller, the 18" Jam Master Crash/Ride emits a powerful crash response and a ride sound of moderate definition with maximum spread. "My Crash/Ride is for a wideopen sound, the Ride Is definitely for laying down grooves and rhythm patterns. Their versatility works great, even in such diverse situations as Planet Drum, Talking Drums, and my many session dates."

"One of SABIAN's greatest strengths," says Garibaldi, 'Is their open attitude; they're very receptive to new ideas. The other is their ability to turn those ideas into reality. Having worked with the hand hammering team that crafted my cymbals I have to say that these are cymbal makers in the truest, traditional sense... artists with a creative vision that enables them to create new and very different cymbal sounds for every kind of drummer"

Individually hand hammered from SABIAN's secret-process B20 bronze, 82% copper and 20% tin, David Garibaldi Jam Master cymbals are available in Natural or Brilliant Finish and come complete with SABIAN's One Year Warranty Protection Plan.
