Cubase VST 3.5.5 for Windows Adds Channel Inserts

January 29, 1998 -- Steinberg GmbH, the market leader of music software companies on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms, today announced the release of Cubase VST 3.5.5 for Windows. The leading sequencer for the Windows 95 platform, the award-winning Cubase 3.5.5 now features channel inserts. This means that every channel of the VST Mixer is now able to run four additional effects and allows 32 x 4 additional effects for the entire system.

Other new features include:

Updated implementation of the DirectX PlugIns which allows you to organize the list of installed PlugIns according to personal preferences.
Support for Recycle Export Files (.REX-files). This allows the use of 'recycled' sample loops right in VST audio tracks without using a dedicated hardware sampler.
VST Audio Engine can now be disabled while VST is running (from within the Audio-System Menu) or by launching the program while holding the Shift key.
