January 29, 1998 -- Waldorf is known primarily for their synthesizers, but they have now taken some of their technology and put it into a software PlugIn for use with Cubase VST. The D Pole produces the same warm, analog sound as their MicroWave II right on your computer. The D Pole offers five different filters with adjustable roll off, a delay module, amplifier/overdrive module, an envelope follower, and a built-in LFO.

All features can be fully automated and settings can be saved as single programs or banks.

- Frequency from 0 Hz up to over 17 kHz
- Resonance up to self-oscillation
- 5 filter type: Low pass, band pass, high pass, notch, resonator
- 12dB/24dB Pole select
Amplifier Module:
- Overdrive up to 52dB

LFO Module:
- Rate up to 7 kHz (displayed in BPM or Hz)
- Sine, triangle, and saw waveforms
Delay Module:
- 2000 ms delay time

Envelope Follower Module:
- Adjustable decay rate
- Positive or negative modulation of filter cutoff
Oscillator Module:
- Ring modulation waveforms - sine, triangle, saw
- Frequency up to over 7000 Hz
