The VST Platform: D Pole PlugIn

January 29, 1998 -- Waldorf is known primarily for their synthesizers, but they have now taken some of their technology and put it into a software PlugIn for use with Cubase VST. The D Pole produces the same warm, analog sound as their MicroWave II right on your computer. The D Pole offers five different filters with adjustable roll off, a delay module, amplifier/overdrive module, an envelope follower, and a built-in LFO.

All features can be fully automated and settings can be saved as single programs or banks.

  • Filter Module:
    • Frequency from 0 Hz up to over 17 kHz
    • Resonance up to self-oscillation
    • 5 filter type: Low pass, band pass, high pass, notch, resonator
    • 12dB/24dB Pole select
  • Amplifier Module:
    • Overdrive up to 52dB
    • Volume
    • Panning
    • Delay mix
  • LFO Module:
    • Rate up to 7 kHz (displayed in BPM or Hz)
    • Sine, triangle, and saw waveforms
  • Delay Module:
    • 2000 ms delay time
    • Feedback
    • Damping
  • Envelope Follower Module:
    • Adjustable decay rate
    • Positive or negative modulation of filter cutoff
  • Oscillator Module:
    • Ring modulation waveforms - sine, triangle, saw
    • Frequency up to over 7000 Hz
  • Synchronization to audio
  • Positive or negative modulation of filter cutoff and panning.
  • Sample rate reduction

Windows 95
  • Host application such as Cubase VST
  • Pentium 133 with 32 MB RAM
Macintosh
  • Power Macintosh with 604/120 MHz or better, 24 MB RAM
  • Cubase VST 3.02 or higher
