January 29, 1998 -- The "travel friendly" Road-Runner(TM) Deluxe is a traditional double cut-away styled guitar with a flamed maple top and a 25 &1/2" scale maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and locking tuners. As with all Stewart guitars, the heart of the Road-Runner(TM) Deluxe is a specially designed and patented neck connection system called the Clip-Joint(TM)

The Clip-Joint(TM) allows removal of the neck in a matter of seconds without tools and without removing or detuning the strings. An optional built-in electronic tuner provides quick and convenient tuning. When disassembled, the body and neck of the Road-Runner(TM) Deluxe stores neatly in a 15 x 23 x 4 inch gig bag (*included). An optional hard case is also available. Easy to carry on aircraft, trains, and buses, Road-Runner(TM) Deluxe is equally at home on stage, practicing in a hotel room, or just jamming with friends.
