TC Ships Digital Master Fader

January 29, 1998 -- TC Electronic has begun shipping their Digital Master Fader for the Finalizer and Finalizer Plus advanced dynamics processors. The Master Fader allows you to perform fades via remote control directly in the output section of your Finalizer.

The TC Electronic Master Fader also allows you to keep your signal in the digital domain while performing your fade, thereby making the need for an analog fader obsolete when going directly to DAT or CD-R.

Alternatively, decreasing the input would trigger the Finalizer's compressor to turn up the volume on the output. Or, you would have to convert the signal to analog, perform your fade, and then convert the signal back into the digital domain before going to DAT or CD-R. Until now, the only way you could avoid this was to utilize the built-in auto fader of the Finalizer. The Master Fader offers a 'hands-on' solution since your digital fade can now be done from any location you prefer.

The Digital Master Fader's suggested retail price is $159.
