Yamaha Enhances Stage Custom Drums with New Wood Snare

January 29, 1998 -- Yamaha Corporation of America, Pro Audio & Combo Division, Drum Department, announces the latest addition to their Stage Custom Drums. A new wooden snare, which will be featured at Winter NAMM in Los Angeles, has been added to the highly successful Stage Custom line. "Yamaha recognized the demand for expansion of our current Stage Custom drum kit by providing a wooden snare," states David Jewell, product manager, Drum Department.

The Stage Custom sets featuring the new wood snare drum, are available in three colors-sapphire blue, forest green, and a chestnut stain. Components remain standard as with the previous model, including an Air-Seal System( shell for superior roundness and strong fundamental tone. The Stage Custom snares reflect a unique, full-bodied tone with great warmth and sustain, as well as offering substantial dynamic range and projection. The new Stage Custom sets featuring the wood snare will be available late Winter, 1998.
