Zoom 3000S Personal Multi-Effects System Offers Expressive Sounds

Zoom Player 3000
Headset Mic and Remote Expression Pedal

January 29, 1998 -- Designed to give guitarists an arsenal of creative options, the new Zoom 3000S system combines a unique "Talking Box" effect with a headset mic, a remote expression pedal and dual distortion sounds that can be controlled using the player's picking technique.

The 3000S has 37 different effects with up to nine that can be combined simultaneously. In addition to 40 user and 40 preset patches; it has many unique features like "dual distortion," two types of distortion effects in both series and parallel that can be used simultaneously and modified simply by changing the picking attack.

Other unique features include a Harmonized Pitch Shifter for "intelligent pitch shifting" that matches the scale being played; three types of amp simulators generate a wide variety of guitar amp sounds for audio speakers, headphone monitors and direct recording.

The "Talking Box" effect is triggered with a Zoom headset mic and authentically recreates the characteristic sound found on many popular recordings of the 70s and 80s.

A Seamless Patch Change function provides smooth transitions between effects by allowing the delay of the previous patch to continue after the patch has been switched.

The 3000S also has a user-definable function switch can be adapted for bypass or muting and also serves as a controller for changing both effect parameters and level settings in real time. An RP01 Remote Pedal (part of the 3000S System or an optional stand-alone item) can be used to control effect parameters and volume from any location. It can also be used as a pedal wah or pedal pitch shift.

Another smart Zoom feature is the 3000S' special Tap Input that allows the delay time to be matched to tempo of song being played, either with the function switch or remote pedal. These are also useful for the hold delay function which automatically repeats phrases played on the instrument. And if that wasn't enough, the 3000S also features an Auto chromatic tuner and ZNR (Zoom Noise Reduction) for quiet performance at the highest gain settings.

The amazing 3000S System has an MSRP of $349. The Zoom 3000 Multi-Effect Pedalboard, HM1 Headset Mic and RP01 Remote Expression Pedal are also available separately
