January 28, 1999 -- Just a few weeks after the release of their Pulsar DSP-based production environment, CreamWare adds two new models to Pulsar's synthesizer suite.

The "Inferno" is an easy to operate virtual analog synth with 1 oscillator plus a suboscillator. The oscillator features 5 different waveforms including adjustable pulse width. Furthermore, the oscillator and suboscillator can be ring modulated, which widely extends the sound capabilities of "Inferno." There are fully adjustable, separate ADSR envelopes for the filter and the amplifer, both of which are velocity-sensitive. On the effects side you'll find a chorus and a distortion unit.

The second new synth, "Miniscope Mk II" is actually a redesigned "Miniscope." Not only has the look changed from black with wood sides to red and chrome, but there are also some modifications under the surface, including a totally new 24 db filter, that give the Mk II a different sound character compared to the original "Miniscope," and makes it a real extension of Pulsar's synth capabilities.

Both new synths are available free of charge for all Pulsar users and can be downloaded from CreamWare's website.
