IK Presents T-RackS "Analog" Mastering Software for Mac and PC

Also to be ported to BeOS

(Click for a close-up)

January 28, 1999 -- T-RackS(TM) (www.t-racks.com) is a software package dedicated entirely to mastering. It offers a complete workstation with analog-modeled circuitry in each of its three discrete processors. Its outstanding performance is the result of sophisticated physical modeling algorithms. No other software or hardware is needed, only a standard Mac or PC.

A tool for any studio, T-RackS(TM) includes:

  • A state-of-the-art six-band parametric equalizer.
  • A classic mastering stereo tube compressor/leveler.
  • A multiband master stereo limiter.

The Complete Solution - 3 sound processors in 1

With its analog-modeled equalizer, compressor and limiter, T-RackS includes everything you need to create final masters on your desktop. No other product is so well-targeted for this purpose. The only other way to achieve the same results is to use an expensive and complex array of software (like various plug-ins or stand-alones, and a multi-track audio editor), or very-expensive hardware.

Specially Developed for Mastering

No other single software processor sounds like T-RackS and none makes mastering so easy. It can vastly enhance mix frequencies, broaden the stereo image as well as boost or precisely level the dynamic range, without ever adding unwanted artifacts. All this, while adding the beautiful warmth and space of the tube-devices it emulates. No other software or plug-in offers this kind of dedicated environment for such an important task.

Outstanding "Analog-Modeled" Sound

T-RackS' sound is created with algorithms based on real analog circuitry, together with proprietary filter design theory. This is what makes T-RackS sound so similar to real analog audio hardware, and so unique when compared to other software.

High Order Internal Resolution

T-RackS uses floating point representations of samples. Unlike integer multiple calculations (used in typical 24 bit software processors), floating point results in super-high resolution, to better simulate the analog non-linearities that affect signals in the analog domain.

High Productivity, Ease of Use

Not only does it sound analog, it acts analog! T-RackS is so easy to use because its interface resembles a typical rack of hardware with analog controls. The combination of these familiar knobs and buttons and the simultaneous availability of three different sound processors makes T-RackS the ultimate high-productivity mastering tool.

High Quality

T-Racks has the best quality-to-price ratio of any top-selling sound processor, is an incredible value for any studio, be it pro or project.

A free demo should be available by the end of January from the T-RackS web site (www.t-racks.com), and orders may be placed on-line there as well. T-RackS should ship sometime in February or March, and the street price will be about US$299.
