January 28, 1999 -- "The JEM is probably the best known and certainly the most unmistakable in appearance of any artst signature model," commented Masashi Inoue of Ibanez USA. 'It certainty doesn't look like any of the well known vintage guitars. But JEM7DBK can sound like them. The JEM7DBK's DiMarzio Breed humbuckers and the DiMarzio Custom Single, which is a JEM exclusive, were designed to provide Steve with classic humbucking or classic single coil tone."
