Line 6 Ships POD!

January 28, 1999 -- The first run of Line 6's much anticipated POD Digital Guitar Amplifier System has rolled off the company's Woodland Hills, CA production facility on the way to meet high global demand for the product.

A device designed for musicians who record guitars, POD brings a roomful of the most desirable vintage amp sounds, classic speaker voicings, & expert miking techniques to your recording studio desktop.

Housed in a rugged die-cast aluminum shell about the size of a stomp box on steroids, POD utilizes Line 6's patent award winning digital modeling technology in conjunction with the breakthrough A.I.R. direct recording output (an acoustically integrated cabinet, speaker, and microphone emulation technology).

Marcus Ryle, Line 6 co-Founder: "We're very excited to have POD now shipping. It is a powerful tool, providing musicians with a wide range of 'ready to record' guitar amplifier tones without the hassles of miking or volume constraints. POD is about instantaneous tonal gratification. And it looks cool too!" said Ryle.

Line 6, manufacturer of the AX2, Flextone Series and POD Digital Guitar Amplifier Systems, and Amp Farm plug in for Pro Tools TDM, is committed to providing an extensive line of musical products that utilize digital audio technology designed by musicians for professional and semiprofessional use.
