Peavey Forms Strategic Alliance With World-Renowned Guitar And Pickup Designer Bill Lawrence

January 28, 1999 -- Peavey Electronics Corporation is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Bill Lawrence. Continuing his quest for global growth, Hartley Peavey, founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics, has enlisted the knowledge of legendary guitar and pickup designer, Bill Lawrence to assist in the design and manufacture of guitars, basses, pickups, and related accessory items.

Having just completed an extensive four-year research project, Lawrence discovered what many thought impossible--"a revolutionary new system that marks a milestone in the history of pickups," said German-based magazine Guitar and Bass. Lawrence's exclusive new pickup innovation has been recently patented and will only be available on Peavey guitars and basses.

"Peavey was the first manufacturer in the music industry to utilize computerized production techniques to provide consumers with precision products at fair and reasonable prices," said Hartley Peavey. "The alliance with Bill Lawrence Guitar yet another step we're taking to set new trends in the music industry... and it won't be the last." Peavey also said that his company is dedicated to improving the state of the art in guitars instead of trying to reinvent the past.
