ChromeBurst Drum FinishesJanuary 28, 1999 -- Utilizing advanced digital imaging capabilities to expand their current selection of wrapped drum finishes, Remo, Inc. has announced the immediate availability of new "ChromeBurst" drum finishes. According to Remo National Sales and Marketing Director, Mike Morse, this unique finish option updates what has become one of the most classic drum finishes of all time. "First and foremost ChromeBurst gives our drums an incredible appearance and durability," Mike comments. "But, beyond that, it provides drummers with a finish that is as technologically advanced as our drums. ChromeBursts are traditional sunburst-style finishes that are created digitally, applied to our Chrome Quadura drum covering material and then protected by a clear laminate that will not fade or deteriorate under 'club conditions'." Along with Remo's Venwood and standard Quadura wraps a choice of Blue or Black, ChromeBurst finishes are now available on Remo MasterEdge 316 and 516 snare drums, tom-toms, bass drums and drumsets, with other ChromeBurst colors currently being developed. Remo MasterEdge drums feature Acousticon R shells in 3/16" (dark) or 5/16" (bright) tonally defined thicknesses as well as Remo's revolutionary Molded Bearing Edges.
