Remo's New "Festival" Drums Aimed At The Growing Recreational Drumming Market

January 28, 1999 -- Remo's new line of "Festival" drums are designed to bring the fun and benefits of recreational drumming to the new and part-time drummer. Available in both Tubano and Djembe styles, the Festival line includes an attractive new "Festival" FabriFinish. All drums in the Festival Series also feature Remo's exclusive Acousticon drumshell for increased durability and weather- resistance along with the same great sounding FiberSkyn 3 drumheads that are used on the professional line of Remo World Percussion instruments.

"Because of the explosion of hand-drumming in drum circles and other social settings, not to mention the overwhelming consumer demand for more affordable, more compact drums, we've taken a handful of our most popular instruments and reconfigured them to meet the needs of this growing class of 'recreational' drummers," comments Tim Ridgway, Remo Manager for Market Development.

Available Festival Drums include:

  • Festival Djembes in small (14x8"), medium (20x10") and large (22x12")
  • Festival Tubanos in small (15x6.5"), medium (16x8") and large (18x10").
