Limited Edition Louie Bellson Snare Drums

January 28, 1999 -- Remo Belli, President and founder of Remo, Inc., has announced the introduction of the "Louie Bellson" Limited Edition Snare Drum. The 5 1/2 by 14-inch snare drum, designed in conjunction with legendary drum artist Louie Bellson, features Remo's exclusive Acousticon H/D drumshell with molded bearing edges, brass-plated hardware, die-cast counterhoops and Ambassador Renaissance heads along with Louie's trademark White Marine Pearl finish and a commemorative, serial numbered badge.

"We wanted to honor Louie's enormous contribution to music by creating a drum that, like Louie, is collectible as well as practical," says Remo. "We feel that the Louie Bellson Snare Drum more than meets this goal because it is both a great performer and a tribute to a living legend who not only continues to redefine modern drumming but who does it with incredible class."

In announcing the drum's availability, Remo further indicated that only 1000 Bellson drums will be made and that they will all be personally autographed by Louie, himself.
