Remo Expands Kids Percussion Line With Lynn Kleiner Series

New percussion instruments and methods bring the fun and developmental benefits of drumming to infants, toddlers and pre-school children.

January 28, 1999 -- Remo, Inc. is proud to announce the expansion of their ground-breaking Kids Percussion line with the addition of an early-childhood music curriculum and rhythm instruments developed in conjunction with early childhood music pioneer, Lynn Kleiner. The Kleiner Series is based on "Music Rhapsody", a music program developed by the leading educator, and consists of three special percussion packages which are recommended for home, day-care and classroom use.

  • Babies Make Music (infant to 24 months) - Includes a small drum with mallet, bell stick, maraca, scarf, song book and optional instructional video tape. Suggested retail price: $39.50 with video, $32.50 without.
  • Kids Make Music (toddlers to five years) - Includes a tambourine, rhythm sticks, maraca, jingle bells, triangle and option instructional video tape. Suggested retail price: $44.50 with video, $37.50 without.
  • Kids Make Music, Too (three to eight years) - Includes a hand drum with mallet, tone block, finger cymbals, egg shaker, scarf and optional instructional video tape. Suggested retail price: $44.50 with video, $37.50 without.

"Making music excites, inspires and enriches children as it teaches them important life lessons such as discipline, coordination, teamwork and self-esteem. And, with Lynn's new packages, the fun and developmental benefits of drumming are now more easily accessible by early-childhood teachers and parents," says Remo Market Development Manager, Tim Ridgway. "in addition, the availability of these kid-friendly rhythm and sound instruments expands Remo's corporate commitment to meeting the growing demand for general Music Education programs."
