Mondo Conga Heads Feature CrimpLock Hoops

January 28, 1999 -- Remo, Inc. has announced that its revolutionary Mondo Conga heads are now being equipped with advanced CrimpLock hoops. Available in 10 to 13 inch sizes to fit most major manufacturer's Quintos, Congas and Tumbas, Mondo Conga heads provide conga players with the authentic tonal qualities of traditional animal skins as well as the consistency and weather- resistance that have made Remo drumheads the choice of the world's leading drummers and percussionists. The new CrimpLock hoop incorporates Remo's performance-proven aluminum-channel and resin hoop technology plus a crimped (folded over) outer flange to provide increased strength, higher tensioning capabilities and a better hoop-to-counterhoop marriage. Remo Mondo Conga heads are currently used by top congueros including Poncho Sanchez, Sheila E., Luis Conte, Lenny Castro, Alex Acuna, Michito Sanchez, Raul Rekow and Karl Perazzo.
