Rising Software Announces Musition 2

Leading educational music software publisher upgrades its music fundamentals theory software

January 28, 1999 -- Rising Software today announced Musition 2, the second generation of its advanced music fundamentals and theory training software. Musition 2 is a graded, drill based software package suitable for students of all ages.

"Musition 2 gives educators and students 26 individual topic areas, ranging from basic intervals through rhythmic notation, chord symbols, terminology and complex jazz scales," said Hamish Moffatt, Development Manager at Rising Software. "The vast array of content ensures that Musition 2 will accelerate the learning of musicians at all skill levels. In the classroom, the powerful administration features allow educators to customize the software for their own teaching methods and keep a constant track on student's progress."

Musition 2 boasts 12 new learning areas, covering Jazz Scales, Chord / Scale Relationships, Scale Home Keys, Chord Symbols, Guitar Tablature, Instrument Recognition, Rhythm Tapping, Drum Sticking, Drum Styles, Cadence Writing, Instrument Keys & Modulation.

"These new topics will provide the classical and contemporary music student with an even greater range of knowledge with which to acquaint and test themselves," said Tim Wilson, Curriculum Manager at Rising Software. "Musition 2 is a giant leap forward for interactive educational music software."

Musition 2 has an SRP of $99.00, academic copies are $79.00. Desktop Site Licenses (unlimited) are $795.00 and Lab Packs(5) are $299.00. Musition 2 will ship on 17th March, 1999. All pricing is in US Dollars.
