Seven Signed Lucille Guitars up for Grabs in Charity Auction December 18, 2001Seven one-of-a-kind, hand-painted Lucille guitars are currently up for auction, with all proceeds going to the City of Hope, a cancer research and treatment facility.
The seven instruments were produced by Gibson and donated to City of Hope. In addition to the hand-painted holiday themes, each Lucille guitar
has also been signed by the King of Blues, B.B. King. (The Lucille is B.B.'s signature guitar.)
Legendary Blues Guitarist, B.B. King is supporting lifesaving research and treatment at City of Hope Cancer Center. King, whose first-ever holiday release--A Christmas Celebration of Hope--benefits the Cancer Center, has been playing Gibsons for over 40 years.
All seven guitars are now up for auction on Yahoo! Auctions. The auction closes on December 20.
