Musicians for Life Program to Raise Money for American Red Cross September 21, 2001To help raise money for the American Red Cross' its Disaster Relief Fund and support those affected by the tragedy of September 11, Fender has started the "Musicians for Life" program.
In a letter from Fender Musical Instruments Corporation Chairman and CEO Bill Schultz, he says:
Dear Friends,
No words can accurately express the emotions that we all have experienced
as a result of the terrorist acts inflicted upon the United States of
America. I can say, however, that our thoughts and prayers go out to the
thousands of individuals and the families that have been directly or
indirectly touched by these tragic events.
Now is the time for all of us to unite and support the victims of Tuesday,
September 11, 2001. The American Red Cross and its Disaster Relief Fund
need money, and we at Fender are calling upon you, the musicians of the
world, to help raise as much as we can for these organizations.
Our slogan is "Musicians for Life". Our message is that musicians around
the globe will join together to promote humanity, and to help all those who
have suffered this past week.
For $20.00, you can receive your choice of either a "Musicians For
Life" t-shirt or baseball cap. For $30.00, you will receive a
"Musicians For Life" polo shirt. All items feature a "Musicians for Life" slogan and American Red Cross logo on the sleeve or back of the cap. There is no additional shipping charge, and items can only be shipped within the US.
All money raised by the sale of these items will go directly to the American Red Cross.
