U.S. Music Corp. Acquires Eden Electronics December 31, 2002
U.S. Music Corporation, the recently
renamed parent of Washburn International, has announced the acquisition of
Eden Electronics. The new company will give U.S. Music and its SoundTech and
Randall amplification divisions a strong hold in the bass amplification market.
"Eden will complement our existing sound divisions and allow us to better
utilize our facilities in Mundelein, Illinois," remarked Rudy Schlacher,
president.
Eden began as a custom builder for professional artists and
manufacturers in 1976. "From day one, the key to our success
has been the development of high-quality, innovative designs, coupled with
the best possible quality control through in-house manufacturing of all key
design elements," stated David Nordschow, founder of Eden Electronics.
Nordschow, who will continue with Eden as director of research and development
continued, "Our manufacturing approach and commitment to quality and unique designs
will remain the same as part of the U.S. Music team."
U.S. Music will continue to manufacture and market Eden's Nemesis line of
professional FET powered, self-contained bass combos and extension cabinets.
The company will also continue with the CXC Solo Series: a group of
combo amplifiers designed to answer the requests of bassists for gear that
is smaller, more powerful, easier to move, and more cost effective. With a
400-watt power stages, these units feature Eden's first discreet FET preamp.
The CXC amplifier section includes Eden's well-known EQ system, as well as a
compressor defeat control, tuner out jack, effects loop, aux input, headphone
out, and DI output with level control and ground lift.
U.S. Music will coordinate all service and
warranty for all Eden products at it's repair facility in Mundelein. For more information, visit their web site at www.usmusiccorp.com. |
