LR Sound Acquires Digital Audio Labs Brand and Products April 12, 2003
LR Sound announced that it has
acquired all brand names, trademarks, and product lines of Digital Audio
Labs, Inc. LR Sound will continue to sell existing and new products under
the Digital Audio Labs name while continuing support for the existing
customer base with enhanced driver software. Products affected include the
CardDeluxe 24/96 stereo PCI interface.
"The Digital Audio Labs name is recognized around the world and has a
reputation for the highest audio fidelity. As the original engineering team
behind many of these products, we feel uniquely suited to carry on the DAL
tradition of quality and value," said Ted Klein, president of LR Sound, who
will also head the new Digital Audio Labs division. "Our top priorities are
to update the support for existing products and expand the Digital Audio
Labs product line."
Mr. Klein was the engineering manager of Digital Audio Labs from 1995
through 1998, and held the position of president during 1998 and 1999. He
left Digital Audio Labs in 2000 to start LR Sound, a hardware/software
consulting group.
