Sonic Preview
One of the marks of a good amp is how well it translates and enhances the tone and personality of each guitar you play through it. We tried some of Tech 21's suggested settings on a Telecaster, a Strat, and a humbucker-equipped Hamer Duo Tone to see just how well the Trademark preserved the differences between the axes. (We didn't alter any of the controls when we switched sounds, except where noted below.)
* Note: Because the Duo tone has a hotter output than the other guitars, I lowered the Drive control on the Duo Tone Clean samples
The Trademark 10 can also get a number of distinct tones out of one guitar. These were all done with the Hamer Duo Tone:
