Chord Magic 1.0 (Guitar) Shareware - $20 Chord Magic has two primary functions: naming chords and finding chords. * NAMING CHORDS This is very simple. Just use the arrows or the mouse to position your "fingers" on the fretboard, and CM will tell you what chord you are "playing". Strings can be muted by pressing 'X', or click- ing on the nut. If the chords are with a capo, press / or \ to set the capo fret. Tab notation can also be entered. CM displays the chords that are matches in the order it thinks is most likely. * FINDING CHORDS This is also easy. Press F to find a particular chord, then pick the root and variation. CM will find and sort a large chord list. CM places you on the chord in the list closest to your current fingering (allowing you to guess or verify a chord). Use PgUp/PgDn to show more chords. * OTHER FEATURES Using T, you can select alternate tunings or create your own. All features work equally well with any tuning. S will superimpose a scale, C can add/edit more chord spellings and D will dump the cur- rent (and following) chord(s) into an ASCII file in TAB notation. The registered version has more chords, more tunings, more on-line help, and a users manual. Written by Andrew Gryc
