Dissect 1.0 Wave File Dissection Utility shareware, $5 registration unregistered version extracts only the first five samples in a wave file System requirements: - IBM PC or compatible - runs in DOS, a Windows3.1 DOS window, or a Windows95 DOS window Dissect is a simple shareware utility intended for users of sampling soundcards. Dissect takes as input a single wave (.WAV) file containing multiple samples separated by periods of silence (for example, a wave file obtained from a track on an audio sample CD). From this wave file, MULTIPLE wave files are created containing one sample each. Dissect can also be used to ensure that existing wave files use the absolute minimum amount of memory required, by removing any leading or trailing silent bytes from the wave. This is an important consideration when using a sampling soundcard, as available memory is often limited. For more info, visit http://www.gis.net/~kpaul/dissect.html
