Sampled 1.24 Sampled is a FREEWARE sample editor that provides both standard time domain editing, but all the same operations can also be applied in the frequency domain. Sampled also allows for user defined filters (by specifying either a system function or impulse response) as ASCII file "plug-ins" Features: -Works on 16-bit samples data (internally works on 32-bit data) -Faaast! (most functions written in assembly / protected mode) -Built-in sampler -Reads WAV, XI, RAW, SAM, AU and more wave files -Reads samples from many samplers: ( Read section Feedback & Support for unavailable samplers): Roland S-50, Roland S-330, Roland S-550, Roland S-750, Roland S-770, Roland S-760, Emax II, Akai S-x000, and ASR-10. -Support for looping waves -Double domain editing: Time domain and Frequency domain (using an assembly protected- mode iterative FFT implementation) -AM & FM with multiple wave types (sin, square, triangle, etc.) using sample as Carrier or Modulator -Time-Domain filters: TVF (Time Variable Filter) I/II Lowpass TVF I/II Highpass TVF Bandpass TVF Notch Plug-in user defined filters (using ASCII text files!) Nonlinear filters (Erode, Dilate, Median, etc...) -Digital Effects: Delay Flanger Harmonizer Crossover Compressor Expander (can act as a Noisegate) Reverberation Room (simulates the reverberation field in a user-defined room, including parametrized absorption from walls and air and frequency absorption) Robotize (human to robot voice... very effective!) -Spectral Effects: Voice Modifier String-ize (transforms a voice into a string!) Get Pitch Echo-Killer (when applied to a wave with an echo longer than 10 msec, this function detects and decreases in amplitude the most audible repetitions of the "basic" wave) -Spare features: TVShifter (strange Time-Variable frequency shifter) Depeak (corrects level-clipped samplings) Repeat (repeats looped parts) Morph (amplitude morphing between 2 waves) Resample Transfer 0 (with Kill DC option) Integrate/Derivate Loop X-Fade Free-hand wave drawing Amplitude distribution analysis Create waves using basic functions System Requrements: In order to run, it needs a 486dx (or more), 4 megs at least, a VESA graphics board, a LOT of conventional memory free (at least 500 Kb), Himem installed and NO EMM managers... Sampled may be launched in DOS mode in Windows 95 without complications (read the FAQ page), but with one only rule: in its main screen, it must print it has more than 80 k free...
