Beyond this, SuperSonic delivers many capabilities that neither a home stereo nor professional audio equipment can. SuperSonic includes the following rack-mount devices, all of which can be relocated, resized, and even repainted. (Two different flavors of each device are included. ) All buttons, sliders, and displays can be edited also, allowing you to design your own stereo system, if desired. Each device has the look and feel of a rack-mount audio component and controls are just as intuitive. This software is packed with features and fun that you won't find elsewhere. Although SuperSonic is tailored for the audio enthusiast, it's undeniably alot of fun for those of us who like to dabble. (Requires 386 processor or better, sound card, mouse, and SVGA graphics) Mixer: Control volume levels and sound characteristics such as bass, treble etc. Load and save your favorite global settings. Compact Disc Player: Play compact disc tracks from any of up to 16 supported cd-rom drives. Insert any cd and it's title and track names are automatically displayed for selection. Buttons include preview, continuous, shuffle, repeat, eject/close, pause, stop, play, goto start, and goto end. Sample Player: Play and record WAV sample files up to 4 gigabyte in size, any sample rate, 8 or 16 bit. Includes the same luxuries found on the cd player. Buttons include preview, continuous, shuffle, repeat, pause, stop, play, record, goto start, goto end, delete/copy sample, 8/16 bits, and mono/stereo. Assign your favorite samples to any of 12 preset keys. Sample Editor: Use the sample editor to edit WAV sample files. Two separate waveform displays are provided (one for left and one for right channel). Includes standard editing tools such as delete, insert, copy, crop, mix, and undo. Includes advanced sample effects such as add echos, add loops, volume fade/pan/cycle, speed fade/cycle. All editing can be done on individual left/righ channel or both. Waveforms can be displayed in dots, bars, or lines. Radio Tuner: Select/tune FM radio stations. Buttons include seek, preview, and volume up/dn/mute. Assign stations to any of 10 presets which can further be assigned to any of 12 categories (total 120 presets). Specify recording of your favorite shows while you're away. Wave Analyzer: View realtime waveforms of audio data for both left and right audio channels. A variety of effects are available including trails, peak, split, fade, and cycle. Color selection is also available. Spectrum Analyzer: View sixteen bands of audio data for both left and right channels in realtime. A variety of effects are available including peak, split, fade, cycle, stack/peak gravity. Also, select distance between bands and distance between bricks inside the band. Color selection is also available. Peak Analyzer: View spectrum output in three dimensions. A variety of effects are available including fade, cycle, gravity, direction, and gutter. Color selection is also available. Disc Jockey (Available only in SuperSonic Pro): This device allows you to queue up an unlimited number of audio items for playback. Items can include cd tracks, samples and external audio sources such as tape players, cd changers, voice, live band, satellite feeds, etc. A variety of switches can be placed between items (eg. fade out old while fade in new). Powerful queue controls allow queue's to be created, saved, loaded, and inserted into an existing queue. Manual switches between queue items is supported plus queue logging and recording of manual switch times for a perfect playback of a previous d.j. session. This device provides a powerful software based alternative for small radio stations, professional and home disc jockeys. Disc Jockey Manual Switcher (Available only in SuperSonic Pro): This device is used in conjunction with the Disc Jockey and allows switches to be manually activated and controlled. For example: if a cd is currently active and another cd is next in the queue, a switch can be manually initiated for a smooth changeover to the new cd. A variety of switches are available and can be used on changeovers from/to any type of audio source. Studio Clock (Available only in SuperSonic Pro): This device provides extra large displays for across the room viewing of date, time, chronograph, and DJ active item remaining. Date and time can be changed for precise synchronization with audio satellite feeds.
